Nassawango Creek, June 29th, 1933, July 24th, 1989 (4); Pocomke State Forest, July 16th, 28th, 1993, July 28th, 1998 (4), all Wo. County. Occurs from Massachusetts to Texas, mainly along the coast. On various sand-barren Ericaceae, making a tunnel of sand and silk on the ground and up the stem of the food plant (Forbes, 1923:599).
