Isle of Wright, Wo. Co., September 23rd; Hickory Pt. Cypress Swamp, June 9th; Piscataway park, P.G. County, August 18th to October 12th (common). A common pest of cabbage and other Brassicaceae, Amaranthaceae and Portulacaceae in the southern U.S. (Munroe,1972:199). Often migrates northward late in the season, sometimes as far as eastern Canada and probably more frequent in Maryland than the data suggests.
