The images were taken July 23rd. Identification was by John Glaser of Berkley Springs, WV. Under a microscope this moth's colors are unbelievable. Unfortunately my camera cannot photograph them. The body and head are completely sheathed in gold scales. The wings other then the white and red areas are really black.
