DESCRIPTION   Rare. Four samples collected in Eastern Shore salt marsh habitats; one at Deal Island WMA in Somerset County, June 17th, one in Taylors Island WMA, Dorcester County, June 4th; another Isle of Wight, Wo. County, June 29th; and the fourth from Fishing Bay WMA, Dor. County, August 7th. Originally thought to be limited to the type locality in South Carolina, this small moth is now known to range up the coast to New Jersey. Like the other members of the genus, santerivalis probably feeds in the larval stage on marsh grasses. e r
