A.A., Cecil, Dor., Har., Kent, Montgomery, P.G. and Wo. Counties. May 15th to September 21st. Occurs almost throughout the U.S. and, as various named subspecies, southward to Argentina. The larva feeds on asters, thistles and other Asteraceae.
